In 1997, the City of Concord (in cooperation with the Concord Police Department) created the “Monumental Toy Drive”, providing Christmas gifts to thousands of children from public elementary schools in our community. As the word got around the community partnered together to support the growing efforts of the organization. Today the Monumental Toy Drive is a 501c3 non-profit organization, expanding to offer more programs such as free public sports camps and family oriented events.
Uniting local businesses with civic organizations, community groups and caring individuals, the Monumental Toy Drive helps bring hope to the poorest children in Concord, and surrounding areas.
EAST BAY TIMES: Monumental Toy Drive to bring spirit of season to needy children
It’s a holiday tradition that spans three generations, as a family and more than 100 volunteers team up to provide gifts for low-income children who are living primarily within the Monument Corridor...
Monumental Toy Drive is entirely dependent on volunteers who love our community and envision a brighter future for our children. Through team effort we do together what no one could do alone.
Work with members in your community and make a difference
Conceived as an annual toy drive event, the Monumental Toy Drive has grown into a organization that actively creates and provides programs throughout the year to serve kids in our community.
